We are looking for a Finance Manager at our Head Office

FINANCE MANAGER

Location Base:  Hybrid working with minimum 40% of time in office - MindWise, Head Office, Pinewood House, 46 Newforge Lane, Malone Road, Belfast, BT9 5NW

Hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week up to a maximum of full time 37.5 hours per week (hours and flexible working options can be discussed with the successful candidate(s)

Salary Range: £39,775 - £43,185 (Spine Points 7.0 – 7.6) – pro rata

Starting Salary: Point 7.0 Starting Salary: £39,775 – pro rata to reflect hours

Duration: Permanent

The postholder will support the Director of Finance in the efficient and effective delivery of services within the Finance Department.  In particular the role will support the delivery and analysis of quality financial information for decision-making and will support managers in effective financial management of the charity. The postholder will also be a member of the Senior Management Team of MindWise.

What we ask for from you:

  • Degree level qualification in a business-related subject or equivalent

OR

Qualified as an accounting technician or equivalent (e.g. IATI) with three years accounting experience.

  • Three years’ experience working in a management role within a finance department.
  • Three years’ experience managing staff performance to achieve high standards of service delivery & lead an effective team.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of charitable accounting.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of leading on continuous improvement (cost, quality, impact).
  • Experience of using all aspects of an integrated, computer-based accounting system.
  • Experience of preparing business cases or funding applications.
  • Experience in gathering, analysing and evaluating data to prepare and present reports using tools such as Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas to a range of stakeholders including non-financial colleagues.
