Belfast Met Students Raise £671 for MindWise with Creative Coffee Morning

Mon, 07 - April - 2025

We were delighted to be chosen as the charity of choice for a fantastic student-led coffee morning organised by the talented Event Management students at Belfast Metropolitan College last week. As part of their course, the students planned and delivered their very first event – and what an event it was!

The students came together across multiple disciplines to create a morning filled with music, fashion, food, and fundraising, all in aid of mental health awareness.

The day featured:

  • Live performances from Belfast Met music students and a lively set by the Belfast Ukulele Jam
  • A magical Alice in Wonderland-themed fashion show, with costumes designed and modelled by the fashion students
  • Top-class hospitality from the catering students, who provided delicious homemade treats and exceptional service

Our very own, Client Engagement Manager Kirsten Kearney was invited to speak at the event, sharing more about the work we do, the importance of mental health support, and how people can get involved through volunteering opportunities with MindWise.

The students raised an incredible £671, and we are so thankful to them for their creativity, effort, and generosity.

This was an inspiring example of how young people can come together to make a real difference in their community. Congratulations to all involved on such a successful and meaningful event!
