What is Client Engagement?

At MindWise, client engagement is at the core of everything we do. We believe in involving our clients as equal partners, valuing lived experiences, and ensuring that every voice is heard in conversations and decisions that affect them. Client engagement means working together to put the client's voice at the heart of our organisation. We strive to collaborate with our clients rather than simply doing things for them or onto them. By focusing on making decisions together and combining everyone's strengths, we can create positive change and improve our services.

How Can You Get Involved?

The overall purpose of client engagement is to shift the balance of power, drawing on people’s first-hand, lived experiences to create new and better services. It’s to make sure that we make good and informed decisions because we listen to our clients and work together to make decisions, write policies and develop our work. We want to make decisions together - combining everyone’s strengths so that we can create positive change.

Here are some ways for MindWise clients to get involved - training and support will be provided

  • Join the Client Engagement Group (once a month in person or online)
  • Help with event planning – e.g. the MindWise MADE awards and AGM

  • Use your lived experience to help us with our research and policy work
