We are looking for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our NHSCT Day Opportunities Team

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER (Community)

 

Location:  Covers the Northern Health and Social Care Trust Area

Hours: 14 hours per week (Paid 12.9 hours over 52 weeks)

Contract: 48 weeks per year (4 weeks service closure)

Starting Salary: £7960.85

Duration: Permanent

Closing date: 12 noon, Monday 24th March 2025

Support and empower people affected by mental health issues live their best lives, underpinned by the recovery model.

Support people affected by mental ill health to get the right support early and encourage everyone to take up physical health activities, healthy eating programs and physical health screening, where appropriate.

The key purpose of this role is to provide a safe, supportive and stable environment for people experiencing mental health issues, improve their quality of life, reduce their social isolation and become active citizens in their local community.

 

What we ask for from you:

  • QCF Diploma Level 2 Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English OR GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • Able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 to 6 months recent experience, providing support to people with a mental illness either in a paid or voluntary position.
  • NISCC Registration or eligible to be registered from commencement of role.
  • Ability to demonstrate alignment with MindWise’s core values of Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness & Transparency.
