We are looking for a Macmillan Lived Experience Development Lead at our Head Office

MACMILLAN LIVED EXPERIENCE DEVELOPMENT LEAD

Location Base:  Blended home and office-based working; based at MindWise’s Head Office with travel throughout NI and occasionally ROI and UK.

Hours: 18.5 Hours per week.

Salary Range: £35,572 - £40,588 Pro Rata (Macmillan Band 6)          

Starting Salary:  £17,548.85

Duration: Fixed Term for 3 years.

As a Macmillan funded Professional, employed by MindWise, the Lived Experience Development Lead will be part of the Psychosocial Service (NI), and will work closely with the Macmillan NI Engagement Leads and Macmillan Partnership Quality Leads. The post holder will assist and support the Psychosocial Service (NI), to develop and ensure the voice of people living with cancer and mental health issues, are at the centre of all that we do.

The post holder will also assist in the design, planning, co-production, training, and co-delivery of the regional workplan for the service, ensuing the voice of people living with cancer and mental health issues, their families, and carers, are involved at every step of the way.

What we ask for from you:

  • 5 GCSE’s grade A-C or equivalent.
  • Personal lived experience of cancer or mental health issues.
  • Three years’ experience of directly working with clients experiencing mental health issues and/or cancer diagnosis.
  • Experience of monitoring and reporting on specific areas of
  • work and evaluation principles and approaches.
  • Experience of facilitating workshop sessions, training events and collaborative exchanges.
  • Experience and understanding of co-production, and user involvement, providing relevant examples.
  • Knowledge and awareness of the issues affecting people living with cancer and mental health issues in the context of strategic and policy environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate alignment with the core values of MindWise and Macmillan: Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness and transparency. With Heart, With Strength, With Ambition.
  • Must hold a full driving licence or have access to reliable transport to enable them to carry out the duties associated with this post.
  • Secondment Candidates only: This role is open to secondments from other organisations e.g. Trust, Public sector, however you must confirm that you have the approval of your line manager before submitting your application for this post.

Supplementary information
